Overview:
Working as a full-time General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the store business. Support responsibilities may include purchasing, receiving, packing orders, deliveries, sourcing and inventory management as needed to assure success of the business. This position is for our store located at 10501 Road 375, Philadelphia, MS.
Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Developing and executing a sales plan in a local territory to reach/exceed business goals
Demonstrating excellence in business to business selling on a daily basis
Effectively communicating business statistics & progress toward goals to motivate the performance of others
Modeling and promoting career opportunities to personnel
Developing and training others to achieve optimal business results as well as personal goals
Demonstrating the ability to lead others
Performing all aspects of running a small business as required
POSITION
Qualifications:
The skills and qualifications required for this position include:
A valid driver''s license and the ability to meet our driving record requirements
The ability to lift, slide and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
The desire to practice integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the business
Excellent written and oral communication skills
A positive attitude, effective problem solving ability, and dedication to providing optimal customer service
The ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic team environment
Effective time management and organizational skills
Keen attention to detail and a sense of urgency
Strong computer skills and math aptitude
An Associate''s Degree in Business/Marketing OR equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market is preferred
At least one year of Fastenal or related sales experience is preferred
Previous managerial experience and product knowledge are a plus
Ability to pass the required drug test (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY).
